At Akaroa Butchery + Deli we relish the chance to champion New Zealand independent producers wherever possible. You’ll find old-style meat displays filled with cuts across beautiful grass-fed beef and lamb, free-farmed pork, farmed venison, Akaroa salmon, Bostock organic chicken and more.

Beyond our classic cuts, we also produce a delicious range of small-batch sausages, bacon and sliced ham made in-store. Pre-marinated butterflied chickens and lamb leg, chicken kebabs, lamb koftas and chunky burger patties add to your summery feeding options.

Browse our chillers and freezers for a wide range of platter favourites including pesto, spreads, marinated olives, pate, salami and gourmet pizzas ready to throw in the oven! We pride ourselves on our NZ selection of cheeses, including locally made Barry’s Bay Cheese, Whitestone Cheese and Cleveland Buffalo.

Our pantry shelves feature locally made olive oils, artisan crackers and condiments, extensive sauces, meal helpers and flavour bombs alongside the staples of pasta, cous cous, vinegars etc.

We do our best to offer gluten and dairy-free options within our ranges.

We are T Dunn and Julia Atkinson-Dunn, caretaking the rich history of meat and food offered from this site for over 100 years for the local community and visitors of Akaroa.
